In the wake of the Corona Virus in
2019, various communities were extremely affected by the infection and its subsequent containment
measures. The virus came with both social and economic challenges to many communities and
households. From deaths, lost incomes and closed businesses to travel restrictions, closed schools,
churches and other public places to limited access to health care as well as untold stigma of the
highest magnitude. United Hope International has tried to help communities and households in
adhering to and coping with the effects of Covid-19 and its containment measures in line with the
World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines such as; proper sanitation, hand-washing, social
distancing& wearing of face-masks. We have erected and maintained hand-washing equipment in
various public places, distributed hand-washing equipment and detergents to various households,
distributed face-masks to various groups of vulnerable members of the community as well,
distribution of food rations to vulnerable community members who lost income due to various
government measures such as lockdowns.
